Sermon
Unitarian Society of New Haven
March 30, 2025
The executive director of the Gamaliel Foundation, a congregation-based community organization, once wrote in a memo to his senior staff, “We have erred in the past by concentrating mainly about our power in the public arena. Organizing is more correctly about the power people must possess at the center of their being that enables them to be self-directed people." In this sermon, we explored the inner aspect of social justice, as well as how to access the power at the center of our being that fuels our social justice work.
Final Sermon of My Internship
Unitarian Society of New Haven
May 18, 2025
My final sermon as the ministerial intern at the Unitarian Society of New Haven (USNH). Full of quantum physics and emotion, this sermon looked back on USNH becoming a teaching congregation again, as well as looked forward to a future connected through entanglement, a quantum property Einstein once called "spooky action at a distance."
Reflection

This reflection was one of several included during a service entitled "Sharing Our Journeys." Mine begins at approximately 51:00 and speaks of my journey with my rescue German Shepherd, Mojave (aka Movy).
Meditation
Unitarian Society of New Haven
June 7, 2025
Meditation and mindfulness are an important part of my spiritual practice. I was honored to be asked to craft and deliver a meditation at the ordination service for Rev. Dr. Jamie Johnson, my colleague and co-facilitator of the USNH Bereavement Group.
